Testimonials

The following are comments provided by some of my clients:

"Brian is very organized, knowledgeable and professional in his approach to personal training.  First, he had me go through a comprehensive assessment which involves ascertaining weight training experience, fitness goals, bodyfat assessment, and training program parameters including frequency, intensity, duration, and type of exercises.  Next, he designed a personalized circuit training program for me that required a full body workout for each session.  As I became more experienced in the training, Brian prescribed more advanced and efficient training programs involving more sets and novel workout split routines such as the push-pull, 2-day split, 8x8 split, speed training, and giant sets.  Brian continually encourages me to eat healthy foods, get adequate sleep, and exercise regularly.  He also provides the consistent motivation I need to get through each session.  Brian is very adamant about performing each exercise with good form in order to accrue maximum benefit.  A workout with Brian is not only challenging and rewarding, but also fun.  I have been a client of Brian’s for over 2 years and intend to stick with him as he provides the inspiration I need to stay fit and healthy."
                                                                                               ---Yaron

"In the three months I have worked with Brian my bodyfat percentage was reduced from 16% to 11%.  In addition, my blood pressure and resting heart rate have been lowered and my muscle mass has increased.  Brian had created a program that worked for me and he supported me as I followed it.  He made sure I did the exercises the correct way to avoid injury and to ensure the program would be effective."
                                                                                                ---John

"I am a retired Professor of Biology at Stanford University and am 85 years old. Brian has been my personal trainer for over 2 years.  I meet with him twice per week for 1-hour fitness training sessions at the Arrillaga Center for Sports and Recreation on the Stanford campus.  During each of my fitness training sessions Brian has me perform a variety of exercises, each designed to place stress on selected muscles of my body.  He plans my exercise routine for each session in  advance and overall I feel that my entire body is subjected to his personal fitness training routine.  Brian is aware of all the positive and negative aspects of each exercise and he stays up-to-date on all the relevant medical information.  Without Brian’s supervision I would not perform as many exercises nor do them as rigorously.  He is an outstanding dedicated personal trainer and I am confident that he can help you too.  Please contact me if you have any questions."

                                                                                              ---Charles Yanofsky

"I always look forward to my workouts with personal trainer Brian Danley.  Using a variety of methods including stretching, free weights, exercise machines, and stretch bands, he tailors the workout to the level of the student and always manages to make it interesting.  Careful never to overdo it, he encourages and motivates.  I leave the gym spent but exhilarated.  I would recommend him to anyone, from octogenerians needing to rehab their underused muscles and joints to dedicated athletes and military recruits."

"A dedicated and highly knowledgeable professional, Brian knows how to work with his clients to identify their goals and objectives and then to formulate a strategy that will get them there. Brian is someone who wants you to work out better, not harder, and will constantly adjust and adapt the workout to keep it effective. Highly recommended."

                                                                              ---Raymond R.

"I have been working with Brian for almost three years. He is very knowledgeable. He is very fussy about your form and posture while you are performing the various exercises to insure your safety and to prevent injuries. He tracks your performance and changes the exercise routines to help you reach your goals.  He is very good at changing the sequence of the exercises to prevent boredom."

                                                                              ---Lee P.

" Really a fantastic trainer -- knowledgable, experienced, motivational, and a total mensch. I was fortunate to work with Brian for about 8 months at Stanford, and it was a great investment of time and money. I suppose the first measure of any trainer is what he/she does for him/herself. Well, Brian looks the part. What really impressed me, though, was his extraordinarily broad view of physical health. I suppose it's a background in basic physiology and body parts that one expects from a competent trainer. But Brian knows a lot more than just that. He considers nutrition and diet as well as other physical activities that promote wellness including yoga. He emphasizes cross-training and some sort of post-work stretching regimen. What I thought would be a quest for firmer and maybe bigger muscles turned into something much more significant. I feel tremendously greatful that I encountered him when I did."
