Coconut water is becoming mainstream although it is somewhat expensive. It does contain a good amount of potassium (more than a banana) along with other electrolytes (e.g., sodium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus) which exercised muscles need during intense training. In this respect, coconut water is a good hydrating source for electrolyte restoration. If you can afford the price and like the taste of coconut water, then by all means buy and drink it to help re-hydrate you during hard training.
